Back in April of 2010, I started keeping track of movies I had borrowed for free from the Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library for a future project. I decided to recheck my database today to see if the DVD's were still in circulation to the general public. I was shocked to find, that out of the very first six films listed 2 had never been returned, by subsequent patrons; Batman Begins, and The Grapes of Wrath. A Third film The Shaggy Dog is scheduled to be returned on November 9th.I urge the good citizens of the city of Clarksburg, and Harrison County to look around their homes for past due materials they borrowed from the library. You can bring in your overdue books & movies the week of November 13th through Saturday November the 19th.

"LAW & Disorder" Captures Film Award

Clarksburg, WV – The Indy film "Law & Disorder" captured the Best Feature Award for a feature film at the 2009 Pare Lorentz International Film Festival this past weekend. Making its world premier at the festival, Law & Disorder is the first feature film produced by Beaver Dam Productions.

The screenplay, written by Ken Beaver, is an adaptation from the award winning TV sitcom script by the same name, also written by Beaver. Working as a legal administrator for a Washington DC law firm, Beaver wrote Law & Disorder from his experiences over the past 21-years in the legal industry. The story is centered around a newly hired legal administrator who attempts to bring order to a dysfunctional downtown law firm while ignoring the hi-jinks and shenanigans of his ghostly predecessor.

The film has been in the making for 2-years. Working nights and weekends with over 100 volunteers, Law & Disorder began filming in November of 2008. Filming concluded in March of 2009 and the films promo video made its debut on YouTube in May. To see the promo video, click the link below:
